Puppy Chow
Kids Helping Suggestion: Recruit little helpers to shake bags and cover the chocolate with a powdered sugar coating.
Ingredients
- 6 c Chex corn cereal
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c peanut butter (or substitute)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar
- Gallon ziploc bag
Directions
- Melt butter on low setting on stovetop in large pot.
- Add in chocolate chips, peanut butter, and vanilla extract and mix until completely combined, stirring frequently.
- Add in chex mix and fold to cover entirely with chocolate mix.
- Section chocolate covered puppy chow into ziploc bag, leaving halfway empty, and add powdered sugar to generously cover. Shake vigorously until combined and coated.
- Pour into a bowl and steal some warm pieces, but then cool it completely in a sealed container in the fridge (or freezer).
- Continue the gallon bag process for another round or two- as needed.
