Oreo truffles are addicting! I grew up helping smash oreos for this recipe- it’s a classic. These truffles are easy to make and an impressive appearance for holiday or party treats, but nobody is going to judge if you want to make them and not share.

Oreo Truffles

Kids Helping Suggestion: Enlist little helps to help smash oreos, just make sure that the bag is completely sealed. They can use a rolling pin or their hands to squeeze or press.
Ingredients
- 1 16 oz pkg Oreo cookies
- 18 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
- 18 oz pkg milk chocolate chips
- 18 oz pkg white chocolate chips
- 18 oz pgk dark chocolate chips
Directions
- Add oreos to a gallon ziplock bag, mostly sealing besides a small opening to allow air to escape. With a rolling pin, smash cookies until finely crumbled. Reserve 1/4 cup of crumbles, and add rest into a mixer bowl. Add cream cheese and mix on low until well blended.
- Scoop about 1 inch size balls from the bowl, forming into a circle with your hands, and place on a wax or parchment paper-covered cookie sheet. Then place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Pour the three chocolate chips into three separate microwave-safe bowls and microwave for 30 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir. Repeat at 15 second increments as needed until chocolate is melted. But use caution as the bowls will be hot.
- Remove the cookie sheet of oreo balls from the freezer and roll each ball in one of the melted chocolate bowls until evenly covered, placing back on the covered cookie sheet once evenly coated.
- Using a spoon, drizzle a different melted chocolate over the chocolate balls to create a design of alternating colors. (You may need to reheat the chocolate in the same method as step 3 if the chocolate cools.) Top each ball with the set aside oreo crumbles while still warm and lightly press into the truffle.
- Return to the freezer for 15 minutes to let chocolate harden. Store the finished oreo truffles at room temperature and enjoy!
