Kyla began blogging and content creation in 2014. Contributing to a growing number of blogs and publications, writing has been a calling of hers since she was little– writing her own short stories and manuscripts as a kid and growing in to her high school’s Center-spread Editor. Writing, design and photography has turned into a quickly growing self-made business born out of creative hobbies.
Kyla graduated from the University of Milwaukee in Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She specializes in tailoring custom-fit solutions for maximum ROI for advertising dollars, and influencer marketing is her passion. As an influencer, she’s able to be a one-stop powerhouse who is the creative director, project manager, analyst, community organizer, model, photographer, editor, and marketing specialist who can deliver the best form of advertising content to her direct target audience of mothers in the USA (concentrated within the Midwest and Wisconsin).
Didn’t want to hear all about business?
Most important of all, Kyla is a mom of four. Three boys and a surprise splash of pink to complete the family. She’s married to Alan, who is a financial advisor working with life insurance and annuities. They love to spend time as a family exploring all there is to do at home and around Wisconsin, where Alan and Kyla are both born and raised.
As a family, they know that there’s no such thing as perfect– and they share heartfelt family moments to show that you don’t need to be perfect in order to be a good mom or have a family filled with love. Kyla’s usually a little messy, chaotic and overwhelmed, while Alan is her polar opposite: calm, cool, collected and naturally just figures things out. Together, they balance each other out in the best way– always keeping each other honest and humble. The rest of the Charles family includes David, the oldest, followed by William, Arthur, and finally Ellie.
Kyla set out to share the best tried-and-true family-friendly recipes her family approves of for other moms struggling with getting the whole family happily fed and recently launched her first cookbook FULL which can be purchased here. Her recipes are tailored to all different stages of family life, picky eaters, different ages, and are handed down from neighbors, friends and family with love.
One of the most long-term sites Kyla has contributed to is For Little Eyes, a website that advocates and educates around pediatric eye care and glasses. Arthur was born with a rare eye condition which you can read more about here.
