Homemade Stuffing

Make Thanksgiving easier with this homemade stuffing recipe! It’s so easy to make but will surely impress a crowd.

Homemade Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) pork sausage roll
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, diced or chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (12 oz) pkg stuffing mix/bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Crumble sausage into a stock pot or Dutch oven. Add onion and celery; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sausage is no longer pink, about 6 to 8 minutes. (Do not drain or pour off drippings.)
  2. Add broth; bring to a boil.
  3. Turn off heat; add stuffing mix, stirring until bread cubes are evenly moistened. Transfer to a greased casserole dish.
  4. Bake covered in a preheated 350 oven 30 minutes or until heated through. (For drier texture, uncover casserole during last 10 minutes of baking). Some of the stuffing may be used to stuff turkey. Stuff bird loosely right before baking.
