I’m torn between being so happy I figured out how easy these donuts are to make at home… and also being sooo not happy.
We get donuts like this every year when we go apple picking. They’re the perfect weekend breakfast treat.

Apple Cinnamon Donuts

Ingredients
- 2 cups Buttermilk Complete Pancake Mix
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Melted butter and cinnamon sugar for dusting
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 and spray donut pan with nonstick spray.
- Add 2 cups of pancake mix into a large bowl and set to the side.
- In a different bowl, mix together apple cider, milk, cinnamon, egg, and sour cream. Pour into the bowl of pancake mix, stirring until just combined.
- Pour mixture into a piping bag or cut a corner off of a plastic bag, and pipe mixture into each donut form, filling halfway.
- Bake for 14-15 minutes until golden brown, and cool for 5 minutes before removing the donuts.
- While baking, melt butter in a shallow dish and create cinnamon sugar mixture in another by mixing 2 tsp of cinnamon with 1 cup of sugar.
- Dip cooked donuts, one-by-one, into melted butter and then into cinnamon sugar to coat thoroughly, and enjoy!
Speaking of breakfast treats, my kids LOVE this recipe for Pecan Banana Bread. You can eat it for breakfast, afternoon snack, or dessert! Give it a try!
