Date Night Salmon

Salmon tip: Purchasing a quality salmon filet is equally essential for this recipe. Verlasso and Mowi brands are two trusted sources for a great tasting salmon.
Ingredients
- 2 6oz salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
- Salt and pepper
Directions
- Divide butter into 1/4’s. In an 8×11 baking pan, put a cold chunk of butter under and on top of each filet, placing skin side down.
- Season filets with salt and pepper.
- Generously coat the top of the filets with lemon pepper seasoning.
- Set the oven to a high broil and place the baking pan on the top rack for 20-25 minutes. Salmon is done once the top of the filet is blackened and internal temperature is 125. You’ll need to watch closely to not overcook the filet. The salmon should flake apart easily from the top with a salad fork. Serve with your favorite sides and consider pairing with a Chardonnay or Pinot Grgio for a restaurant-quality pairing.
