Thick Cut French Toast

Ingredients
- Solid loaf of bakery cinnamon bread
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200. Cut 1.5-2″ thick slices in bread loaf. Set to the side
- In a large bowl, mix eggs, cream, cinnamon, and vanilla until evenly consistent
- Dredge the bread slices into the mixture, ensuring all sides of bread are well-coated
- Put butter in a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once butter bubbles, pan fry the coated bread on one side until golden brown, and then flip and fry the remaining side 2-3 min
- Place finished French toast onto a baking sheet and place in the oven to keep warm while preparing rest if needed
- Serve with maple syrup, butter, and sprinkled powdered sugar
