Buffalo chicken dip is *the* go-to dish for an appetizer or snack for any get together in the Midwest. But this recipe is like no other with the homemade ranch dressing. No shade if you prefer to use the bottle, though, I still do sometimes.
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients: Buffalo chicken dip
- 1/2 cup zesty ranch seasoned shreds
- 1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese
- 1 cup/can shredded cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 cup homemade ranch dressing (or a regular bottle)
Ingredients: Homemade ranch
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1-2 tbsp parsley
- 1-2 tbsp dill
- 1/2 tbsp garlic chives
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 lemon juice, squeezed
- Salt and pepper to taste
To make homemade ranch
- Whisk together mayonnaise and buttermilk until combined
- Stir in all other ingredients
To make buffalo chicken dip
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker, and set on low for 2-3 hours
- Finish with an additional topping of zesty ranch seasoned shreds
